Dr. Delilah Hedley is a well-respected Doctor of Psychiatry in a small, affluent city on the East Coast. Despite her professional success, Delilah is physically unable to have children, causing increasing turmoil in her marriage.

When Delilah begins seeing a new patient, a man previously accused of murdering his parents, a woman is simultaneously found dead in the river. As the hunt for Jane Doe’s killer intensifies, Delilah falls deeper and deeper for her new patient, despite his dark past.

Will the doctor get a taste of her own medicine, or will she find an escape from the flame in time to save her own life?

First, I wish to thank Lauren Lee for sending me her book in return for an honest review.

I have this book for a few weeks now, maybe two months (I should apologize for my lateness) but I really forgot about it. A few days ago, I found it while I was ‘cleaning around my digital library’, haha, So I start reading it. I finished it in less than 24 hrs.

If I should use just one word to describe it, it would be AWESOME. I am so mad at me right now because it took me so much to start reading it. It is one of the best books I’ve read this year.

Lately, I read all types of books, fantasy, romance, thrillers and less crime (shame on me), so when I saw how good this book is, I was more than happy to read it in one go. I read it even while walking on the street (yep, I use to do that. Makes walking more fun).

Anyway, you have the description above so there are no more words needed to it. If you love twists, you have to read this book. I mean, I thought that I figured out who is the killer but then I’ve found out I was so wrong. Then, I said ‘Ok, I was wrong about it, but I know what’s next’ and I was wrong about it as well. All this book is so well written.

Is really easy to read, and the descriptions are so good done. And God knows how much I love a good description. I like to feel the environment and the characters when I am reading a book, and that’s why I give so high importance to the description.

And also, this is the first book ( or I can’t remember another one right now) that made me feel sorry for the bad guy and wanted a happy ending to him/her.

I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to read and easy and fast reading thriller. You won’t be able to take your eyes off it before you finish it.
